2025 World Meditation Day Observances

World Meditation Day in 2025 was marked by events held in several countries.

The Art of Living Foundation hosted a live global meditation led by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar from the Oculus at the World Trade Center in New York City. The event was streamed worldwide, with organizers reporting that more than 100 U.S. cities hosted in-person watch gatherings.

The United Nations also marked the occasion with a series of events. On December 19, the UN hosted Meditation for Global Peace and Harmony at the Trusteeship Council in New York. On December 21, the UN Meditation Room remained open throughout the day to allow for silent reflection.
