A women’s rights protest organized by Indivisible South Bay Los Angeles took place along the South Bay coastline on March 8 in observance of International Women’s Day. Participants marched from Redondo Beach toward Manhattan Beach while carrying signs and chanting in support of gender equality. On Sunday, March 8, Indivisible South Bay Los Angeles hosted a march in the South Bay for Women’s Rights. This South Bay women’s rights protest drew participants who gathered along the coastline to march for gender equality. Presence News witnessed the participants gathering and marching at different points on the coastline.

Demonstrators gathered near the intersection of Hermosa Avenue and Herondo Street before 11 a.m. The group began marching shortly after 11 a.m., traveling approximately three miles along the coast from Redondo Beach toward Manhattan Beach. The event concluded around 12:30 p.m.
Participants carried signs and American flags as they prepared to begin the walk. As they marched down the beach, protesters yelled chants affirming women’s rights and marched down the beach’s length. Others stood on nearby beaches or sidewalks, while others cheered for them as they passed.
This event occurred on March 8, also known as International Women’s Day worldwide. Celebrated each March 8th, International Women’s Day is a worldwide observance recognizing and celebrating women’s accomplishments in economic, social, cultural, and political realms, as well as continuing the fight for gender equality.
The march continued along the South Bay coastline as participants chanted and displayed signs throughout the demonstration.
