Protesters Rally Along South Bay Beaches Against ICE Policies

A group of protesters gathered on Sunday, February 1, along the South Bay coastline for a South Bay protest against ICE, demonstrating against President Donald Trump and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement policies. Participants carried signs, waved American flags, and marched together from the Manhattan Beach Pier down the Strand toward the Hermosa Beach Pier before returning

During the demonstration, the protest gained the attention of beachgoers and residents as the group marched along the sidewalk near the sand.

Speakers Address Crowd From Lifeguard Tower

At one point, two individuals addressed the crowd from the top of a lifeguard tower, speaking about their reasons for protesting and encouraging others to join the march. Following the speeches, the speakers invited attendees to walk together, and the crowd followed.

Meanwhile, protesters lined both sides of the sidewalk as the group continued moving through the area.

Signs and Chants Highlight Immigration Concerns

People held signs and chanted slogans to show their support for immigrant rights. Some homes nearby also had signs up that showed support for what the protesters were saying.

Some signs talked about immigration and land rights, with messages like “No one is illegal.” Protesters said that the South Bay protest against ICE was meant to support the rights of immigrants and remember people who have died after being stopped by immigration enforcement.

Peaceful Protest Monitored by Police

The demonstration remained peaceful throughout the event. No violence was reported, and law enforcement officers did not make any arrests. Police officers were present to monitor the gathering as the group continued its march through the beach communities.
