The Presence News Archive Library exists to preserve public-interest reporting and civic documentation in durable formats that remain accessible beyond daily news cycles. This page explains how Preservation publishing works at Presence News, including authorship, editorial review, distribution, and long-term access.
Presence News may preserve (a) Presence News reporting and (b) independently authored works submitted for preservation. Preservation is designed to protect accessibility, attribution, and continuity in an environment where platforms, hosting services, and feeds can change without notice.

What “Preserved” Means
A work marked “Preserved by Presence News” is published as part of the Presence News Archive Library or an affiliated preservation series. Preservation is intended to:
- Maintain access over time
- Provide a stable citation reference
- Support archival redundancy (multiple distribution points)
- Clarify authorship and context for future readers
Preservation does not automatically mean endorsement, investigation, or verification by Presence News unless explicitly stated.
Authorship and Ownership
- The author(s) retain copyright and ownership of preserved works.
- Presence News does not claim ownership of externally authored preserved works.
- The author(s) are credited clearly and prominently.
- Where pen names are used, Presence News may require verification of authorship privately (to prevent impersonation and fraud).
Editorial Review Standard – Preservation Review
Externally submitted preserved works may undergo Preservation Review, a limited editorial review focused on:
- Clear authorship and attribution
- Basic clarity and readability
- Source attribution where applicable
- Separation of fact, opinion, and personal narrative
- Removal of unlawful content, personal data leaks, or obvious defamation risk
Presence News may request edits or may decline publication. Preservation Review is not the same as full newsroom reporting or investigative verification.
Accuracy, Claims, and Disputes
- Authors are responsible for claims made in preserved works.
- Presence News may add an editorial note if information is disputed or incomplete.
- Presence News may request supporting documentation for high-risk factual assertions.
- Presence News reserves the right to decline works that pose unacceptable legal, safety, or reputational risk.
Preservation vs. Endorsement
Preserved works may include a standard disclaimer indicating:
- Preservation is for long-term access and record
- Publication does not necessarily imply endorsement
- Authorship remains with the contributor unless stated otherwise
Presence News preserves materials to support public access—not to certify legal conclusions.
Syndication and Distribution (Third-Party Publishing Network)
Presence News may, at its discretion, distribute or syndicate preserved works to affiliated third-party publishing platforms for the purpose of long-term access, redundancy, and archival continuity.
Such distribution:
- Does not change authorship or attribution
- Does not constitute editorial endorsement
- Supports preservation if individual platforms change or discontinue availability
Authors retain ownership of their work at all times.
Format and Availability
Preserved works may be published in one or more formats, including:
- Ebook (EPUB/Kindle-compatible formats)
- PDF archive editions
- Web archive entries in the Presence News Archive Library
Availability and pricing may vary by distribution channel. Presence News may publish certain archive editions at no cost as a public-interest initiative.
Updates, Corrections, and Withdrawal Requests
Presence News supports responsible corrections and preservation integrity:
- Authors may request factual corrections or updates
- Presence News may issue editorial correction notes when warranted
- Authors may request withdrawal, subject to reasonable notice and technical limitations of third-party distribution
In some cases, an archival record may remain indicating that a work was previously published, without maintaining public access to the full text.
Eligibility and Submissions
Presence News accepts preservation submissions that align with public-interest, civic documentation, research, or independent reporting. Presence News may decline submissions that are:
- Primarily promotional or marketing content
- Unverifiable allegations presented as fact
- Doxxing, harassment, or private personal data disclosure
- Illegal content or content designed to incite harm

Archive Submissions
Presence News accepts preservation submissions from independent journalists, researchers, and civic observers whose work aligns with public-interest documentation and long-term access.
Preservation requests begin with a brief review to confirm authorship, scope, and suitability for archival publication.
For contributors who proceed beyond initial review, Presence News provides a Contributor Preservation Agreement outlining authorship, attribution, and distribution terms.
