Overview:
Every fall, the Lawndale Garden Center brings the community together for its seasonal festival — a cheerful blend of plants, pumpkins, music, and local vendors. This year’s Fall Festival was especially festive, marking the first time the Garden Center offered a full pumpkin patch alongside its popular vendor marketplace.
A Growing Tradition
Each spring and fall, the Garden Center transforms into a lively hub of local business and creativity. The Fall Festival welcomed visitors of all ages to browse plant selections, discover handmade crafts, and enjoy the cozy atmosphere filled with live folk music. This year’s highlight was the pumpkin patch, set up right outside the Garden Center — a first for the event. Guests eagerly picked out their favorite pumpkins to take home for decorating and baking.
Vendors Spotlight
The event showcased a variety of talented local creators and small businesses. Some of the featured vendors included Mana Bakery, Seaborn Creations, Yard Art by Carol, Novy and Livy Apothecary, Little Dramatic, MindfulCements, and Magixstyx — each bringing something special to the fall celebration.
Mana Bakery
A family-owned bakery known for its Filipino-style pastries and homemade cakes. Guests enjoyed sweet samples of their fall favorites — including Apple Cake, S’mores Cake, and Chocolate Cake. Presence News’ own Maria Cornejo particularly loved the Apple and Chocolate cakes, which perfectly matched the autumn season.
Magixstyx
A handcrafted incense brand that offers aromatic sticks to fill homes with relaxing scents. Each incense stick is made by hand and presented beautifully in stand displays.
Novy and Livy Apothecary
This family-run business uses plant-based ingredients to create soothing body care and skincare products. Their lotions were a crowd favorite for their light, natural scent. The family also sells homemade clay earrings designed for every season and holiday.
Seaborn Creations
Makers of elegant, handcrafted jewelry that drew plenty of admiration from shoppers for its intricate and stylish design.
Little Dramatic
An artist who creates hand-drawn and digitally scanned designs, turning them into beautiful tote bags and stickers. Visitors loved her floral-themed tote bags and the opportunity to support her Etsy shop for more of her unique artwork.
Yard Art by Carol
Carol’s table was filled with hand-sewn plush flowers and stuffed animals, bringing color and creativity to outdoor spaces. Her catcher’s flower plush was a particular favorite among visitors.
MindfulCements
An AAPI woman-owned craft brand known on Instagram as @MindfulCements. Her handmade home décor pieces and thoughtful, minimalist designs stood out among the vendor booths.
Live Music and Community Spirit
The event featured live music from Bianca Inez Ferguson — known online as @BiancaInezMusic — whose heartfelt folk performance created a warm, welcoming backdrop for the afternoon. Despite her learning disability that prevents her from walking, Ferguson delivered a soulful performance alongside her bandmate on guitar, inspiring everyone in attendance.
A Successful Fall Gathering
The 2025 Lawndale Garden Center Fall Festival was a vibrant success. From the pumpkin patch to the local crafts and live music, visitors left with full hearts — and often full hands. Event organizer Christian Rosales II helped bring the celebration to life, continuing the Garden Center’s mission to support local makers and foster community connection.
