Overview:
A man wanted for reportedly brandishing a firearm during a parking dispute in Alexandria has been arrested following an overnight search, according to police.
Early Morning Drama
In the early hours of the morning, Alexandria, VA Police apprehended Trent McCraken, 35, of Alexandria, Va., concluding a search that began after a reported gun incident the previous day. McCraken was arrested and charged with Brandishing and is currently being held without bail.
Suspicious Activity Sparks Search
The incident began on November 19th around 3:50 p.m., when officers responded to a report of a suspicious person armed with a weapon. According to police, a parking dispute had unfolded between McCraken and a male victim.
Following the argument, the victim drove away and later reported seeing the suspect allegedly pull out a firearm before fleeing on foot. Officers conducted a search in the surrounding area but were initially unable to locate McCraken.
Arrest
The search concluded in the early morning hours when officers located McCraken in the area of S. Walker Street and Stevenson Avenue in Alexandria. He was taken into custody without incident.
McCraken is being held without bail as the investigation continues.
