A Guided Coastal Walk

The walk commenced at 9:30 a.m. near a beachfront avenue at Redondo Beach and ended an hour later after all participants completed a one-mile route through the beachfront sidewalks. The group kept on the sidewalks instead of walking on the sand, passing through hills, stairs, and beach access areas along the route.

Participants wore earphones and listened individually to audiobooks of their choice, creating a silent but coordinated group experience. The organizer and owner of The Fleuria addressed attendees with a microphone before the walk began.

According to the organizer, the Redondo Beach audiobook walking club meets weekly and welcomes all audiobook genres. Some participants listened to romance audiobooks, including Love Letters for Other People.

The walk involved stairs and hillside pathways, making it physically demanding. The participants were said to have accomplished between 2,000 and 2,500 steps during the walk.

Although challenging, participants completed the day carrying water bottles, then paused to rehydrate and socialize in the sea air before departing.
