ONALASKA, Wis. — A group of approximately 40 protesters gathered across the street from Angelini’s Ristorante in Onalaska on Saturday to voice concerns over comments made by the restaurant’s owner in a previously published YouTube video.
The demonstration took place near the restaurant, where participants held signs and expressed their views regarding statements they believed were disrespectful toward women.

During the protest, restaurant owner Tony Angelini addressed the group using a microphone and loudspeaker system. Speaking from the restaurant property, Angelini shared his perspective on the demonstration and the individuals participating in it.
The exchange created a highly visible scene as protesters and supporters gathered in the area throughout the event. Motorists passing by could be seen observing the demonstration while participants on both sides voiced their opinions.

The protest follows public discussion surrounding comments made by the restaurant owner in a YouTube video (part of video is in the video below) that circulated online and drew criticism from community members. Protest organizers and participants cited those remarks as the reason for gathering outside the restaurant.
As of publication, the event remained a peaceful public demonstration, with individuals exercising their rights to express differing viewpoints regarding the controversy.
