Presence News Exclusive Interview: Jason Christopher Peters Reflects on NYFW 2025 and What’s Next

Renowned designer Jason Christopher Peters has once again left his mark on the global fashion stage. His 2025 New York Fashion Week show drew attention from press outlets around the world, with celebrities and influencers sitting front row and Getty Images capturing the event in high style.

When asked how this year’s Fashion Week went for him and his team, Peters shared his excitement:

“NYFW is always such a great time for me every season. It’s insanely busy because I get invited to tons of shows and events while also managing to produce my own. Fashion design is my passion, so I love NYFW! I’m meeting new celebrities, influentials, and public figures every time — and getting opportunities I’ve only dreamed of.”

The designer confirmed that he will return to NYFW in 2026, explaining that it remains one of his favorite times of the year:

“Of course! Fashion Week is the best time to connect with designers, models, artists, creative press — everyone from around the world. I like showing off my style during New York Fashion Week because most of the time, outside of fashion, I’m just in hoodies, sweats, and gym clothes — Nike/Adidas vibes.”

Peters, who has been in the fashion industry for over 24 years, reflected on what keeps him inspired through changing trends and times:

“What has kept me motivated are the people of the world. Inspiring and influencing anyone who feels out of place or shunned by society for who they are is what keeps me going. I take pride in bringing joy, peace, love, and optimism through my art.”

Preparation for this year’s showcase was no small feat. Peters described the seven-month process as “passionate, determined, and sleepless,” with every detail refined to perfection.

“A lot of passion, long hours, sleepless nights, hard work, and perseverance is what made the show such a huge success,” he shared. “Press from around the world covered the show — including foreign media and top magazines.”

Even after decades in the industry, Peters admits that the stage still gives him butterflies:

“Every show is nerve-racking because so much is going on. But I’m a pro at this. I’ve been doing shows for 24 years — and I love every part of the process.”

Now, Jason Christopher Peters is calling on the next generation of models to step forward. Applications are officially open for models who wish to walk in his 2026 NYFW show, continuing his tradition of celebrating diversity, individuality, and fearless creativity in fashion.
