Ginger Lou is preparing to unveil her latest mixed-media work, Where the flowers bloom, during an upcoming opening reception at C3 Gallery in Coronado, California. Ginger Lou was included in Top 20 articles in April 2026 mentioned in Anna Magruder article at bottom of this article.
The reception is scheduled for Thursday, May 14 at 5:30 PM at C3 Gallery, located at 1845 Strand Way in Coronado.
The featured piece first began in the open air during the Coronado Flower Show, where visitors gathered around as the artwork evolved live among the gardens, sunlight, and coastal atmosphere of the event. According to Ginger, the setting became part of the artwork itself.
“This piece began in the open air at the Coronado Flower Show—surrounded by blooms, sunlight, and the quiet magic of people stopping to watch creation unfold,” Ginger Lou shared.

Now completed, the work combines butterflies, botanicals, vintage-inspired textures, and layered visual fragments inspired by both California landscapes and dreamlike imagery. The finished composition reflects themes of movement, memory, preservation, and connection to place.
Known for blending storytelling with coastal California aesthetics, Ginger Lou has developed a distinctive style across mixed-media painting, photography, jewelry design, and wearable art. Her work often incorporates preserved California abalone shell fragments, botanicals, crystals, seaweed, and natural materials transformed into contemporary artistic pieces.
Beyond gallery exhibitions, the California-based artist also creates eco-conscious clothing collections inspired by ocean views, gardens, desert light, and urban California scenery. Her creative approach centers around preserving beauty while honoring nature and regional history through modern design.
The upcoming C3 Gallery reception offers attendees an opportunity to experience “Where the flowers bloom” in person following its live creation process at one of Coronado’s most recognizable spring events.
