LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Disney+ and Hulu are inviting fans to relive classic television shows and movies through a nostalgic pop-up experience at the corner of Melrose Avenue and La Jolla Avenue.
The pop-up is currently open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Presence News’ Maria Cornejo stopped by this past Thursday to check it out.
Interactive Throwback Experience
The main attraction in the exhibit was a really big TV accompanied by a large remote control. Guests used the oversized remote to watch clips from popular Disney shows and movies while taking photos.
Disney music flowed all throughout the exhibit, which added to its nostalgic vibe.
Classic Props and Mystery Pin Giveaway
The exhibition boasted plenty of large VHS reproductions featuring beloved Disney classics such as The Parent Trap, Smart House, Cheaper by the Dozen, and A Goofy Movie.
As if that wasn’t enough, attendees also had the opportunity to receive a free mystery throwback pin. A staff member from either Disney+ or Hulu ran a pin machine. Guests were able to choose a numbered mystery bag with the collectible pin.
The giveaway was limited to one mystery pin per guest.
A Nostalgic Weekend on Melrose Avenue
Melrose Boulevard was bustling with activity this weekend. It provided tourists and locals alike with an experience that combined old-time props with new apps and streaming services, such as Hulu and Disney+. In this way, people were able to experience classic movies in new ways.
The event allowed TV lovers to indulge in their passion right in one of Los Angeles’ favorite shopping places.
