VENICE, CA —Venice Hoops is bringing competitive basketball to the beach this Halloween, with a 5v5 tournament scheduled for Saturday, October 31, 2026 10am-3pm, at the Venice Beach Basketball Courts. The exact start time will be announced closer to the event.
The tournament is part of the organization’s ongoing work to build year-round basketball programs, tournaments and community events at the courts.

Venice Hoops describes itself as a nonprofit community benefit organization run by longtime members of the Venice Beach basketball scene—the local basketball “OGs”—and the surrounding community.
The group’s programming centers on keeping basketball and community activity connected at the courts. The upcoming Halloween tournament adds another event to that effort, bringing five-on-five competition to the Venice beachfront.
