The day will start out mostly sunny, but clouds will increase throughout the day. Though the day remains dry, the chance for rain and thunderstorms will develop in the late afternoon, with chances of precipitation increasing to 65% in the evening. The heat advisory is in effect until 8 o’clock in the evening, as humidity will result in an afternoon heat index of 99°F. The morning is the best time for outdoor activities before the heat of the afternoon sets in.
Saturday Weather Forecast
Previous forecasts made by the National Weather Service predict that Saturday, August 8, will provide some relief from the rains that occurred on Friday, with the temperature reaching a high of 90°F before dropping to a low of around 77°F during the night underneath a partly sunny sky. While the chance of rain in the morning and early afternoon is low, at only around 20%, the possibility of thunderstorms peaks at approximately 30% during the late afternoon and early evening before dropping to 15% at night. Although there will not be as much rain as in the case of the flash floods witnessed the previous day, the humidity level will remain around 67%, which will make the temperatures feel higher. Hence, the residents would, therefore, need to keep abreast of developments via the local reports.
Sunday Weather Forecast
On August 9, the weather in New York will likely be a bit warmer since the maximum temperatures are predicted to reach the low 90s (around 91°F); meanwhile, the night will have its minimum temperatures fall to approximately 72°F.
