LOS ANGELES, CA — As artificial intelligence reshapes industries across the world, Presence News is frequently asked how much AI is used in the company’s journalism, photography, video production, and editorial workflow.

The answer is next: Presence News uses artificial intelligence as a support tool, not as a replacement for journalism.

Video Production

One of the most common questions we receive is whether our videos are generated by AI.

The answer is no.

Presence News does not use artificial intelligence to create video coverage published on our YouTube channel or social media platforms. While AI-generated video technology has advanced rapidly and can produce impressive results, our focus remains on documenting real events, real people, and real communities.

Many of our videos are intentionally straightforward. They serve as a visual record of what occurred at an event, conference, red carpet, community gathering, business function, or public meeting. The value of the footage comes from being physically present and documenting the moment as it happened.

For us, credibility comes from showing what was actually there—not recreating it through artificial intelligence.

Photography

We are also frequently asked whether the images published alongside our articles are AI-generated.

The answer is no.

Presence News does not use artificial intelligence to create photographs that represent real events, people, or locations.

When readers view photographs on our platform, those images are generally captured by our photographers, contributors, event organizers, public relations teams, or other legitimate sources. We believe it is important that images used in news reporting accurately reflect reality.

There are limited situations where AI may assist with creating a simple text-based graphic, banner, or illustrative image that is clearly not presented as event photography. However, we do not use AI to alter, manipulate, or fabricate images from events we are covering. If any AI is used in photo rendering it is stated in the caption.

Writing and Editorial Work

Artificial intelligence plays its largest role in the writing process, but even then it serves as an assistant rather than a journalist.

Presence News may use AI tools to help improve sentence flow, organize information, brainstorm headlines, generate SEO suggestions, or assist with drafting sections of an article after reporting has already been completed.

However, AI is not responsible for gathering information.

The core responsibilities of journalism still belong to the reporter. That includes attending events, conducting interviews, speaking with sources, reviewing documents, verifying facts, and accurately communicating information to readers.

We do not recommend using AI to generate entire articles about topics that have not been independently researched or verified. Without reliable sourcing and firsthand reporting, AI can produce information that is incomplete, misleading, or entirely incorrect.

In our experience, the best use of AI is after the reporting process has already occurred. Once the facts have been gathered and the source material is established, AI can help improve readability and organization. Even then, every article must be reviewed and fact-checked by a human editor before publication.

Journalism Still Starts With People

Artificial intelligence is becoming a valuable tool for many industries, including media. However, Presence News believes the foundation of journalism remains unchanged.

Readers deserve information that comes from real sources, real reporting, and real experiences.

Technology can assist with efficiency, but it cannot replace the importance of showing up, asking questions, building relationships within communities, and verifying information before it is published.

As AI continues to evolve, Presence News will continue evaluating new technologies while maintaining a commitment to firsthand reporting, transparency, and editorial accountability.
