Studio City, Calif. – Fans of Olivia Rodrigo have a new reason to stop by Licorice Pizza Records at 12230 Ventura Blvd., Studio City, CA 91604. Staged to celebrate the global collection launch on Saturday, Aug. 1, a massive 110,000-brick Olivia Rodrigo LEGO takeover transformed an iconic Los Angeles record store, drawing a visit from Presence News reporter Maria Cornejo during the busy launch weekend.
Rodrigo designed the visually striking display with a purple color scheme and many details inspired by her music and fashion. It comprises a small purple guitar adorned with a butterfly and flowers. Additionally, it features a television, a record player, and an outfit from the “Good 4 U” video. There is also a poster of Rodrigo’s and many art Lego creations connected with her fame.
Before the public debut, Licorice Pizza Records hosted a sneak preview of the display. A small group of invited guests had the chance to see the display inside the store. Meanwhile, some others had to settle into watching it from the outside. The display included several pieces of artwork inspired by the cover of Rodrigo’s album named “SOUR”.
After the preview, organizers removed the teaser display until the full installation returned for the public release. Fans visiting the store can now view the completed LEGO display in person. However, it is for viewing only and is not available to touch or interact with.
The newly released LEGO set allows fans to recreate the display at home by assembling the pieces themselves. This construction set contains numerous musical accessories and decorations inspired by the style of Rodrigo. Therefore, it gives its users an opportunity to build something interesting.
The new LEGO set themed after Olivia Rodrigo can be obtained from LEGO shops and other retailers. As a result, fans can duplicate the model.
