BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Beverly Hills Mayor Craig A. Corman delivered the city’s 2026 State of the City Address Wednesday evening, September 23, during the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce’s annual An Evening With the Mayor at Greystone Mansion.
The signature Chamber event brought together city officials, business leaders, community members and regional organizations for an evening focused on Beverly Hills and its future.

An Evening at Greystone Mansion
The event was held from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Greystone Mansion, one of Beverly Hills’ best-known historic properties.
According to the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce, the annual event was designed to connect members of the local business community with government and civic leaders while providing an opportunity to hear directly from the mayor about the city’s priorities, projects, opportunities and challenges.
The evening included live music, wine, hors d’oeuvres and networking before and around the formal State of the City program. The Chamber described the gathering as an opportunity for an interactive exchange between the business community and government officials.
More than 400 guests were listed as registered for the event, according to the Chamber’s event page.
Mayor Craig Corman Leads Beverly Hills in 2026-27
Corman became mayor in April 2026, succeeding Sharona R. Nazarian. Mary N. Wells was named vice mayor during the same City Council reorganization.
Corman was elected to the Beverly Hills City Council in March 2024 and is a longtime Beverly Hills resident. According to his official city biography, priorities for his 2026-27 mayoral term include enhancing safety and security while maintaining Beverly Hills’ position as a leading destination and encouraging innovation. Before joining the City Council, Corman served on both the Beverly Hills Planning Commission and Cultural Heritage Commission.
The city’s current council includes Corman as mayor, Wells as vice mayor, and councilmembers Lester Friedman, Sharona R. Nazarian and Rebecca Pynoos. Pynoos joined the council following the city’s 2026 election and was sworn in alongside returning councilmembers Friedman and Nazarian in July.
Business and Civic Leaders Gather in Beverly Hills
Beyond the mayor’s address, An Evening With the Mayor serves as one of the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce’s major opportunities for local businesses, city representatives and community stakeholders to meet in person.
That business-government connection is particularly significant in Beverly Hills, where the commercial sector contributes a substantial portion of the city’s General Fund revenue, according to city budget documents. Beverly Hills is home to businesses spanning luxury retail, hospitality, entertainment, professional services, healthcare and other industries.
The 2026 event received support from a wide range of sponsors and participating organizations.
