VENTURA, Calif. — Professional skateboarder Bryce Wettstein took to the vert ramp during the Jackalope skateboarding event in Ventura, California, joining a lineup that included legendary skateboarders Bob Burnquist, Steve Caballero, and Elliot Sloan at 8pm Saturday night under the lights.
Large crowd gathered around the ramp throughout as skaters performed under the lights during one of the weekend’s featured skateboarding showcases. Fans lined the barricades for opportunities to watch the athletes skate up close, meet the pros, and collect autographs during appearances throughout the event.
Wettstein, who represented Team USA during the debut of skateboarding at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, has become a recognizable name in modern women’s skateboarding. Known for her creative style and energetic personality, she has built a strong following both inside and outside of the skateboarding world.
Originally from California, Bryce Wettstein gained national attention through major competitions, sponsorships, and appearances across the skateboarding industry. Her unique approach to the sport and continued presence at major skate events has helped introduce a new generation of fans to vert and park skating.
During the Ventura event, Wettstein shared the ramp with multiple generations of skateboarding talent. Bob Burnquist, widely recognized as one of the most influential vert skaters in history, drew major attention from fans throughout the evening. Steve Caballero, a legendary figure from the Bones Brigade era of skateboarding, also appeared during the showcase alongside Elliot Sloan, another well-known professional vert skater.
The event transformed portions of Ventura into a skateboarding block party, with crowds gathering around the vert ramp and surrounding vendor areas throughout the weekend.
