ANAHEIM, Calif. — The 15th anniversary of VidCon attracted thousands of fans, creators, and industry professionals to participate in three days of panels, workshops, meet and greets, and other community-based events to celebrate online video and digital media at the Anaheim Convention Center.
As part of the anniversary celebration, which took place this past weekend, attendees could also sign a large display commemorating the occasion and create a message on a themed cake, along with leaving a message on the historic “15” design of the display, so everyone could share a message of celebration about the growth and history of the convention.
Fans and Creators Connect Throughout the Convention
VidCon has continually increased in size and popularity since its inception; now it is one of the largest events in the world dedicated to digital storytelling and online video creators. Creators from around the world, who are part of communities using platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitch, and podcasting, are able to come together at VidCon each year to share experiences, talk about trends in online media, and engage with their audience members.
Throughout the convention, fans had opportunities to attend educational sessions, participate in workshops, and meet many of their favorite creators. Attendees had the chance to take photos, get autographs, and talk face-to-face with their online favorites at the meet-and-greet events.
Featured Creators Draw Crowds
Amongst the many creators was Tubby Nugget – an animated character creating animated videos & comics. Tubby Nugget was located in multiple venues during the convention and met fans, took pictures with fans, and interacted with other creators & convention goers throughout the entire exhibit.

Content creator Peet Montzingo met with fans at the convention from his popular social media channels (Comedy/ Music related posts). Peet spent time with fans taking pictures and interacting with attendees outside of the creator exhibit area.

The convention also featured a variety of creator-operated booths offering merchandise and opportunities to connect with audiences. Pat Valentine and Zach showcased products from their plush brand, giving fans the chance to browse merchandise and learn more about their creative projects.

Gaming creators also attracted enthusiastic crowds. Members associated with the Lifesteal community, including creator Wemmbu, met fans, signed merchandise, and discussed the gaming videos that have helped build their online following.

Podcast creators were also well represented throughout the event. Members of DMF House welcomed visitors to their booth, where attendees could learn more about their podcast and meet the hosts behind the show.

The host of the Pucker Up podcast, Jay Live, has been busy meeting with fans of her podcast at the VIP Creator area of VidCon while having conversations with fans about her work through her podcast.

Learning and Growing in the Creator Economy
Aside from celebrities, VidCon also acts as a venue for upcoming creators to gain knowledge from experienced creators. These educational programs include video production and the ways to engage your audience, strategies when creating content, and the way the creator economy is changing.
Celebrating 15 Years of Digital Creativity
The 15th Anniversary of the VidCon Convention once again showcased the connection between creators and their audience. For attendees who came to the convention, they had the chance to not just meet their favorite creators in person, but also discover new creators and then present each other with creative ideas to enhance the way we view and interact with online and digital media.
